Co-production – Deciding Together

This web resource describes some useful case studies of co-production undertaken by Mind and provides helpful links to further resources and discussion.

The resource also highlights some useful things to think about before you start a co-pro process:

  • Is the balance of power genuinely equal in the decision making? To be called co-production, there must be a genuinely equal and reciprocal relationship between staff and people with lived experience and recognition that all contributions are valuable.

  • Are there mutually agreed on responsibilities and expectations?

  • Are you able to support people to take part in the development process and subsequent delivery? How will you do this?
