An invitation to co-create the 3rd national co-production conference
Pollock Halls, Edinburgh University - 23rd April 2014
“..Irrespective of the current economic challenges, a radical change in the design and delivery of public services is necessary to tackle the deep-rooted social problems that persist in communities across the country”.
Over the past two years, people across Scotland have risen to this and the many other challenges set out in the Christie Commission Report on the Future of Public Services. Co-production has been central to that response, and we are well on our way in our commitment to ensuring individuals and communities are at the heart of this public service reform.
We know that ‘co-production’ isn’t new, and its practice can be seen in our communities and in how service users and their families are influencing change. But where are we in making it mainstream?
The Joint Improvement Team together with the Scottish Co-production Network and third sector partners, The ALLIANCE, IRISS, SCDC, Skilled Workers, Skilled Citizens, ALISS and many others have provided a range of improvement support to local partnerships across Scotland to improve and spread understanding around co-production.
This will be the 3rd national co-production event, and ‘this time its personal’! We want you to help create an event that is for you, and by you. An event that you think will inspire others, and that creates space for learning, innovation and a common direction for the next step in our co-production journey.
We invited our network members to share with us what they would like from this national event; See how our survey members responded here. Watch this space for more information soon!
We're now opening up proposals for workshops, talks and stands at the conference and would love to have your input to help make it an interetsing and informative day for all!
We look forward to receiving your contributions. Please note the deadline for submissions is 26th February. Please submit your suggestions using the attached form and return them to Olivia Hanley email@example.com.
We will respond to you by 14th March to let you know if we are able to accommodate your proposal, we anticipate a high number of responses so we may not be able to accommodate all proposals. Registration to attend will open on 10th February, see the Scottish Co-production Network website for more information, and make sure you sign up.
