Challenge Poverty Week - JRF Report

Addressing.pngChallenge Poverty week is in full swing - a national event to bring together groups and individuals to highlight what is being done to tackle poverty in Scotland. There's plenty activity on Twitter to keep to up with.

Centred around The United Nations International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on the 17th October, it's a great chance build on the work being carried out and help create momentum for greater action.

The Joseph Rowntree Foundation has recently published a report on addressing poverty and inequality through local governance - specifically looking at co-production. The report looks to examine austerity policies and the new demand for public services and how local authorities should place the focus on place leadership, local governance, community budgets, co-production and procurement. You can download the report on the JRF website.
