The case for a National Strategy for Co-production
The ALLIANCE brought together leaders from Health and Social Care Partnerships, third sector representatives, and people with long term conditions to have a constructive conversation about co-production in health and social care, and share their experiences and best practices.
Some of the discussions included:
What help/support do we need or can offer, to co-produce?
6 Outcome Measures that prove co-production has been implemented
How do we ensure that co-production is embedded in health and social care education?
Professor Edgar Cahn, founder of Timebanking USA, gave the key note address about co-production, and the importance of community assets, reciprocity, community, and respect.
Delegates also heard from Elke Loeffler, Chief Executive of Governance International, and Peter McColl Head of Policy at Nesta, about practical ways in which co-production has been used.
