A National Co-production event in 2015 - let us know what you think

Dear colleagues,

Let us know!We are starting to plan the next National Co-production event which we have scheduled for June 2015 and would like to hear what you think.

At initial meetings with colleagues at the Joint Improvement Team we discussed changing the format of the event from the conference style that we have followed to date to something more along the lines of a celebration/awards event or dinner, which we use to celebrate and raise the profile of the good co-production work that is happening across Scotland.

A common comment in evaluations of last year’s event was that people delivering co-production on the ground were missing. We thought that celebrating those people who are doing good co-production work might be a good way to do this whilst advancing co-production approaches in Scotland.

Our initial thoughts were around exploring the possibility of inviting network members to self-nominate to up to three categories of award with members invited to decide on the categories and select a shortlist and winner either through direct voting or by selection panels. We also discussed filming case studies of shortlisted projects which are later made available as a practice resource.

Next steps

We would be delighted to receive your views about this proposed change of format by completing this survey by Friday 28th November 2014. If you have further questions or comments, please feel free to email sam@scdc.org.uk.
